Do you remember when you were a child, the deep feeling of anticipation as the holidays drew closer? Making your wish list and wondering if you’d get that perfect gift was all-consuming.
Unfortunately, not everyone will have those memories to cherish this year. There are many kids whose families can’t afford to give that perfect gift. Or any gift, for that matter. Those kids are right here in Winona.
You can help change that. The Dream Maker program provides a YMCA membership to disadvantaged children in the Winona community. It will be a gift that will last all year. It requires no batteries and won’t break after a few days.
The YMCA receives referrals from guidance counselors of area schools, identifying kids whose families can’t afford a YMCA membership. Memberships are given to as many kids as possible, with your generous support.
